Food etc celebrates International Women’s Day

As part of its celebration of the 109th International Women’s Day,  Food etc launched a series of stove top cookery workshops with Bedford Women’s Centre.

Bedford Women’s Centre chief executive Charlotte Day said: “Eating healthily is fundamental to improving quality of life for the women we work with and their families. We are hoping that people who come to these workshops will find new ways to prepare meals that are quick, easy and tasty but also inexpensive and nutritious.”

Julie Clay of Food etc said: “It’s great to be working with such a positive charity that helps women to overcome a wide range of issues. The workshops that we are offering not only help attendees to improve the way they feed themselves and their families but provide opportunities to share information, experiences and at the end of it all a meal.”
