No yeast pizza

Makes 2 large or 4 small pizzas

To make the base:

  • 350g plain flour
  • 2¾ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 170ml water
  • Toppings of your choice (Some of our favourites are cheese, salami, ham, tuna tomatoes, peppers, olives and mushrooms but it’s up to you)


  1. Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.


  1. Mix together the flour and in a bowl and add the oil and water then stir until it forms a softball. If stiff, add a little more water, it should be soft but not sticky.


  1. Knead on a floured surface for 3-4 mins. Roll into 2 balls, then flatten out.


  1. For a quick tomato topping Just mix together a 400g tin of chopped tomatoes, a crushed clove of garlic and some herbs or spices of your choosing. We like to put in a splash of wine vinegar too but it’s not essential.


  1. Add your toppings and bake each pizza on a baking sheet for approx. 15 mins.
